Laryngeal Cancer

The Clinic has expertise in all aspects of head and neck cancer, with particular interest in early detection and treatment. We are pioneering the use of laser surgery to treat early laryngeal cancer. This enables us to treat the cancer while saving the voice box in most cases.

There is a particular interest in the early detection and treatment of cancers of the voice box (laryngeal cancer) and cancers of the throat. Patients requiring surgical intervention are usually discussed by a combined team of surgeons, radiotherapists and chemotherapists at the Head & Neck Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital.
